ECB

CricViz News & Insight fallback image

At the outset of the 2022 English season, CricViz became the Official Data Partners of the ECB, giving CricViz the responsibility of collecting, advancing, and distributing match data for all ECB matches. CricViz collection analysts are present at more than 500 matches across England and Wales during the summer, collecting detailed information for every single ball bowled.

Our collection office in Leeds makes the collection operation possible. While our analysts are in-ground at every ECB match, we also collect a huge range of matches ‘off-tube’ in Leeds, enabling CricViz to go beyond simple scorecard data and collect advanced detail for all ECB matches.

Data collected by CricViz powers the website and official app for the ECB and The Hundred. That data is also made available to all 18 counties as well as women’s domestic sides for use in their match centres and apps, integrating with ECB partners who provide video. Subsequently, CricViz distribute that official ECB match data to top-tier media clients, including Sky Sports and the BBC.

The official data collection relationship provides the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership between the ECB and CricViz, leading into an exciting product development roadmap being delivered with fan engagement at its heart.
